Careers and Enterprise Coordinator
“Driven by a lifelong passion for helping others, Catherine began my career with Cumbria Police, where she held a variety of roles that gave her a valuable insight into the challenges faced by young people in our communities. This experience inspired a transition into education, leading her to join Lakes College as Head of Careers, Work Placement, and Personal Development.
At Lakes College, Catherine had the privilege of shaping learners’ futures by developing a comprehensive careers education programme and collaborating with a wide range of businesses and stakeholders. Catherine also worked with chronically disengaged learners through Nudge Education, helping them overcome barriers and realise their potential.
Now, as a Careers and Enterprise Coordinator, she draws on her diverse background to connect schools and businesses across the county. Catherine works closely with schools to enhance their careers programmes, ensuring students gain the knowledge, skills, and experiences they need to thrive in the world beyond education.
Outside of work, Catherine enjoys walking with her dogs in the Lake District, experimenting in the kitchen as a keen home cook, and exploring new places through travel.”
