Educators

Cumbria Careers Day is a one day celebration of careers in Cumbria on the 5th March 2025 and there are lots of ways for schools, colleges, universities, employers and the third sector to get involved.

From Advanced Manufacturing, to Health and Social Care, Fashion, Food and Drink, Logistics, Construction, Law, Nuclear, Hospitality, Agriculture, Finance and everything else in between there is something for everyone in Cumbria.

Aim: To highlight the vast number of career opportunities across all sectors.

Each year we will dedicate a day during National Careers week to celebrate Cumbria, enabling schools, colleges, universities and organisations of all sizes to join in.

You will find resources and activity ideas on this page – so take a look and plan how you will be celebrating Cumbria Careers Day.

Please try to use at least one of our activities on the 5th March and send us some pictures and feedback of how they went. Don’t forget to share any pictures on your social media using the hashtag #CumbriaCareersDay.

We would also like to visit some schools to see what you are doing on the 5th so please get in touch with us as soon as possible then we can see if we can make it.

We have developed a range of activities so that you can browse like a menu and then decide which you would like to use Cumbria Careers Day sits in the middle of National Careers Week (NCW) so we have included some of their resources as well as you may wish to start the week with NCW resources then move into Cumbria specific activities later in the week.
