Careers and Enterprise Coordinator
Mary is a passionate educator. After training at the University of Cumbria, she embarked upon her teaching career in 2009. Mary has worked in a variety of settings delivering high quality education and ensuring excellent outcomes for all learners, and has worked within leadership roles as well as teaching roles. Mary developed her skills further by joining the Enterprising Cumbria team as a Quality Assessment Officer for the Skills Bootcamp Team in 2025, a role she still holds alongside her Careers and Enterprise Coordinator role within Cumbria Careers Hub.
Mary’s experience in a variety of educational roles gives her an insight into how educational establishments function, their similarities and their differences, and this experience allows her to formulate a strategic path forward for development.
In her free time, Mary enjoys walking in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside, visiting the Scottish Islands and making memories with her family in their camper van. Mary is a keen cook and loves to host her family and friends and share good food and great company.
