Tell us about your chosen career or career pathway to your current role
“After graduating as a PhD scientist I progressed from an experimental scientist to senior project leader. Then I moved to a new role as a research manager which progressed to a technology manager. Since joining Siemens eight years ago I have been employed as a materials expert.”
What careers advice would you give to your 16-year-old self?
“Work hard and take every opportunity on offer.”
What do you like/love best about living and working in Cumbria?
“The fact that we have the Lake District on our doorstep and that I can walk or cycle to work without having to commute in a car.”
