“At 14 years old I didn’t know what I wanted to do, and options were limited. With the skills and knowledge I have gained in 30 years, it tells me that every option is open with the right drive, passion and education.”
Tell us about your chosen career or career pathway to your current role
“I started off as an apprentice engineer, this then led to becoming an engineer. I have also been in planning, design, technician, operations, operations manager regional, director, country manager, European sales director, chairman, managing director, coach, mentor, and business advisor.”
What careers advice would you give to your 16-year-old self?
“With hard work, dedication, a lifelong passion for improvement and education you can achieve anything.”
What do you like/love best about living and working in Cumbria?
“For thirty years I have travelled the world but always come back to Cumbria, it’s the people and the place.”
