Mayfield School – Vehicles Day

Employers and local organisation’s are invited to bring a vehicle into school to allow it to be used as a talking and engagement point with students.
Aims of the day:
- Older students will gain employability skills and increase knowledge of the world of work.
- Younger students will gain the above plus themes of Transport and People who help us.
- ‘Softer’ skills such as confidence, communication, turn taking etc.
Organisation’s already on board with the event include:
- Mitie
- Cumbria Library Service
- Cumbria Police
- CNC Police
- St Johns Ambulance
- Wasdale MRT
- A local farmer
- Blood Bikes
If you have any work related vehicles that you would like to be included in this event then please contact Trevor Milton, Careers Lead at Mayfield School.
Ideally a further 6 vehicles would be involved, if possible, but no more emergency services are needed.
